SW ROAD V2 TRAINING Course Syllabus:

SW ROAD V2 TRAINING (COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN AND ESTIMATE) SYLLABUS

1.    Introduction to SW DTM Components (1 hr)

  • Basic knowledge in SW DTM, icons, pull down menus & other basic concept of utilities used in SW DTM.

2.    Generating Contour and DTM using SW DTM (1 hr)

  • Import Surveyed points into AutoCAD, process points, triangulate, generate contour and generate DTM.

3.    Introduction to SW ROAD V2 Components (1 hr)

  • Hardware, software, basic knowledge in SW ROAD, icons, pull down menus & other basic concept of utilities used in SW ROAD.

4.    Creating Projects (Setting of Project) (1 hr)

  • Basic knowledge of Coordinates Systems (MUTM and UTM) and setting up of coordinates according to the project location.
  • Project in accordance with existing data or new terrain.

5.    Starting with Projects (2 hrs)

  • Import External Layers ,viz DXF, SHP and Geo packages.
  • Import Raster Layers, viz MBtiles, GeoTIFF, XYZ Tiles.
  • Selecting Terrain Model
  • Working with built-in DTM, viz import points, triangulate, generate contour, draw feature lines, generate terrain.

6.    Nepal Road Standard 2070 (2 hr)

  • Familiarize NRS, road components, standards set in NRS and basics needed for design

7.    Setting up Parameters in accordance to NRS 2070 (1 hr)

8.    Create and Draw Alignment (3 hrs)

  • Alignment following existing alignment or new alignment

9.    Create and Draw Multiple Alignments (2 hrs)

  • Offset Alignment
  • Draw independent alignment

10. Draw Profile (2 hrs)

  • Familiarize with the Profile interface
  • Profile following existing terrain or improving geometry.

11. Cross section (3 hrs)

  • Familiarize with the Cross-section interface
  • Assign structures and cross section items

12. Multiple Cross-section (2 hrs)

  • Familiarize with the Cross-section interface
  • Assign structures and cross section items

13. Assign Structures (2 hrs)
